St Louis Shag Quarter Turns

The Quarter Turns begin in the same way as the St Louis Shag Half Turns, with the dancers opening a gap between them and turning to face each other. For this move, the dancers stay facing each other and the leader pushes the follower away to open up a larger gap between the dancers.

As this move does not include the distinctive stomp of beat 8 of the basic, there is no difficulty in using this sequence with a Side Charleston sequence.

The count given below starts at beat 5 to indicate that this sequence follows on from the first four beats of the St Louis Shag Basic.
