C++ Utilities

This file contains a collection of C++ utilities covering the following areas

• Tracing: iostream-style trace macros
  • cpptrace.h: header file for clients to include
  • cpptrace.cpp: implementation file
  • tracecfg.h: trace location defaults
  • trace.cpp: runtime control of trace configuration
  • testtrc.cpp: sample/test program
• Locking: POSIX and Win32 wrappers for simple locks, particularly scope locks
  • lock.h: header file for clients to include
  • lock.cpp: implementation file
  • testlock.cpp: sample/test program
• Memory checking: debug allocators to spot leaks and other flaws
  • debugmem.h: header file for clients to include
  • debugmem.cpp: implementation file
  • testmem.cpp: sample/test program
• Version marking: include file version and build information in executables
  • version.h: header file for clients to include
  • version.cpp: implementation file
• Miscellaneous other files:
  • getopt_local.h: noddy implementation of getopt functionality
  • makefile: GNU makefile for all of the files
