Boogie-Woogie Open Basic

This move is equivalent to a six-beat Open Basic in Lindy Hop, but has a couple of differences. Firstly, there is no rock step; instead the dancers step in place for beats 1 and 2. Secondly, the leader's hand is kept stiller than for Lindy Hop. There is no rock step to lead, and because there is only one rhythm in the dance (the six-beat rhythm), the leader can assume that his partner can maintain that rhythm on her own indefinitely.
