The normal pattern for the Back Charleston Side Kicks is for the dancers to perform two kicks on each foot,
changing direction between each kick. For this move, that pattern is broken: the dancers shift to kicking
once on each foot (in a kick-step-kick-step) pattern and hold their direction. This needs a
reasonable amount of room on the dance floor to perform.
To exit the move, the leader can return to the Back Charleston Side Kicks. He indicates this by turning the
follower to the left as they kick with their right foot, simultaneously lifting with his right hand to keep
the follower's weight on her left foot.
The move is given with the dancers travelling to the right; the same pattern can be mirrored
so that the dancers travel off to the left instead.
