This section concentrates on footwork variations that are specific to the leader. All of these variations
involve the movement at beats 5 and 6 of the Lindy Turn, where the leader is moving out of the way of the
follower's path and turning clockwise. Because the follower is performing a different movement at this point
of the move, this means that a variation around beats 5 and 6 cannot simply be mirrored to create a variation
for the follower.
The slide variations described below are most easily performed when the leader's shoes or the floor
are slippery. Also, the Floor Sweep variation combines well with a leader spin on beats 7&8, continuing the
clockwise rotation started with the foot sweep.

5. M:eFR The leader takes a step slightly forward on his right foot without turning, so that as the follower steps forwards his left arm becomes wrapped across his chest.
