Rag Doll

The underlying footwork for this move just involves the leader stepping backwards and the follower stepping forwards; the important feature of the move is the follower's body styling. As the name of the move indicates, the follower should appear to be sagging against the leader, with a loose body that appears to offer no resistance to his movements.

1. M:BL W:BR3R Start from an closed position, with the leader's left hand holding the follower's right hand. The leader takes a step backward on his left foot, pushing the follower away with his left hand. The follower takes a step backward on her right foot, turning almost 180° to her right.
2. M:FR1R W:RL The leader takes a step forward on his right foot, turning slightly to his right. The follower replaces her weight on her left foot.
3. M:BL3R W:FR The leader steps backward on his left foot, turning another almost 180° right, turning to face the follower and stepping away from her, pulling his left hand back behind his body at waist height. The follower steps forward on her right foot, stepping with her right leg bent and left leg straight out behind her, sagging against the leader, with her right arm loose.
5. M:BR W:FL The leader takes a step backward on his right foot, swinging his right hand over and away from himself. The follower takes a step forward on her left foot, stepping with a bent left leg, and straightening her right leg out behind her.
7. M:BL W:FR The leader takes a step backward on his left foot, swinging his right hand back behind himself (so it has described a circle). The follower takes a step forward on her right foot, with bent right leg and straight left leg.
9. M:TR W:TL The leader closes his right foot to his left foot, lifting the follower back up with his right hand behind her back. The follower closes her left foot to her right foot, returning to normal posture.
