This page contains references relevant to my review and notes on Stephen Wolfram's "A New Kind of Science".
I can understand that Wolfram himself would not want to include references in his already overweight tome. However, it is a little annoying that he doesn't provide references in any other form—for example, on his web site, as I'm sure that he can afford the web space. [31-Oct-02] There is now a list of books that Wolfram owns and may or may not have referenced on the wolframscience website
[5-Nov-02] W. Edwin Clark's canonical, comprehensive list of reviews of "A New Kind of Science"
Ray Kurzweil's review of "A New Kind of Science"

A book review by a reviewer who admits he's not read the book.
Cosma Shalizi's notes and references on cellular automata, which contains the wonderful description of Wolfram's book as "a rare blend of monster raving egomania and utter batshit insanity".
